One Final Almighty Great Push

I finally got feedback on all the work I have produced for my FMP this year. I got a mixture of feedback in which there are definitely elements in my work that I need to expand and improve on. Let’s start with the good news. My research is excellent. It is at a distinction. This is great – it feels nice knowing there are some qualities of the highest standard gleaming in my work. I always had known that my research is impeccable. Numerous teachers has been telling that my research is greatly detailed and I have both primary and secondary research within it. Everything went to plan whether it was going to library to read books on theorists or searching for more information online. The two elements that lets down my whole work is my production and evaluation. My tutor shocked me saying it hovering on the pass criteria which is a surprise to me, because I thought the production side of things would had to be recognised as one of my strong attributes in this FMP. However, there is no point complaining about how it lacks insufficient context within it not to get a merit or distinction.

That is another aspect that my tutor has noticed within me this year. She said the way I take feedback is excellent. I take on board what she says. and I try as hardest as I can to see her vision. The talks between us is enlightening, I get new ideas, new motivation to produce more art. The last conversation with her happened over the phone yesterday. It was fantastic. She told me this week focus on making your website a campaign for my brand. Make it more presentable. Next week we would focus on my evaluation. I do admit that I have slacking on the evaluation side. This week and next week are going to be very productive. so there will be a lot of context to put inside my evaluation. My tutor told me to upload more videos on the right hand side of my home page. She wants a web banner up and some animations in there as well. If you go to my homepage now you can see how much it has changed. It is totally different. I have been doing some research on the layout of fashion brands websites and many of the themes were a blank white home, large images and slim big black text. I will be doing more analytical research on this later this week or early next week depending on how high it is in my priorities list.

Another thing I want to do is change the layout of the whole website. Right now everything is one huge list. It doesn’t scream fashion. I won’t be changing the layout of the research because that is a distinction already, but the production and homepage will greatly change. My aesthetic is not really pumped into the website. This is why it is one final almighty great push. Everything must be handed next week Thursday. My birthday. I am absolutely determined to get a merit or above. Anything low is not acceptable.
