In today’s lesson I decided to dedicate my research towards making a double page magazine spread. Also, I wanted to gain more awareness on how a double page magazine is made and what the reader pays the most attention to. Due to my understanding of what I have found out the title for the article must be very eye catchy. This is because it is natural for the reader to first look on the top of the page and grasp the title. When it is appealing to them, this could be aspects such as: a big font or fancy font – they are most likely to read or skim through the writing on the page. Furthermore, when I do get started creating my magazine spread I need to keep it fairly simple and try and do anything over the top complicating things. Moreover, I find out the software InDesign is mostly utilised to create magazine spreads. Learning this I started to watch a few tutorials of making double page magazine spreads on InDesign to get an idea of what I am going to work with.
